What an irony of life! The former charismatic ex-President of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings died same year (2020) his mother died, six weeks after.

The official Twitter Page of Rawlings available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, http://www.sojworldnews.com a Press Release was released by Rawlings announcing the death of his mother on September 24, 2020, aged 101.
Six weeks later, precisely, November 12, 2020, Jerry Rawlings was announced to have died of complications from COVID-19 at the age of 73.

Burial arrangements for the burial of his mother, Madam Victoria Agbotui, according to what was published in Twitter has not been announced when the son died.
“The Office of H.E. Jerry John Rawlings, the Awadada of the Anlo State, Head of the Royal Bate Family of the Anlo State and the Agbotui and allied families, inform the general public of the demise of Madam Victoria Agbotui, mother of His Excellency..”

Rawlings had earlier wrote on his twitter page, incidentally, his last comments about the ENDSARS protests in Nigeria,
“My heart goes out to #Nigeria and #Nigerians and I encourage all to move towards non-violent engagement. All conscientious citizens of Africa must condemn the bloodshed and call on all parties to act with integrity before the crisis gets out of control. We call for integrity and circumspection of all personnel involved – JJR”
