A middle-aged man identified as Ezeudu Tony Emeka has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend of over 20 years to death at their resident, 148 Ojo Road, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos.
According to reliable source who wants her name to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of the incident, she told SOJ WORLDWIDE Correspondent that the incident occured on Saturday morning, August 19, 2023. She said after both of them came back from the night club together drunk they started quarreling.
“The victim, Arigo Edoghogho Florence was dating the culprit, Ezeudu Tony Emeka of No. 148 Ojo Road, Ajegunle Apapa, Lagos for over twenty years before the unfortunate incident.”

“The relationship was on-and-off and was very, very toxic. Each time they fight, somehow they will come back together and continue. There’s hardly anyone who knew them that was not against their toxic relationship. Myself included.”
“So on Friday 18th of August, they went clubbing together. Both got drunk and started quarrelling again.
“Because it was in the mid night, neighbors failed to attend to them because they thought it was their usual fight not knowing the guy had stabbed the lady to death.”

“The victim was my friend of over thirty years. The case was reported at Layeni Police Station, Ojo Road and has been transferred to Panti.
The family of the victim are demanding justice because the culprit family are a bit comfortable.”.
After stabbing his girlfriend to death, Emeka was said to have abandoned her in her own pool of blood and went to a Joint where he was drinking and smoking.

According to our reliable source, Emeka would have been lynched but for quick intervention of the Police who arrested him.
He was due to join his brother in the United States this month when the incident occurred.
The phone line of the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Benjamin Hundeyin was busy and a message sent to him for confirmation was not responded to as at the time of filing this report.
