The man identified as Adekunle Olarinde confessed he threatened hhat his gang members would be coming with sophisticated weapons and bombs.
A 37-year-old farmer cum okada rider he was behind the threat letter that was issued to a university and a bank indicating the intention of his kidnap gang to strike except ransom was paid.
It would be recalled that the handwritten letter of threat was found on 11 August by the management of a private university in Atiba in Oyo Town.
Olarinde who was paraded by the state commissioner of Police confessed that he is responsible for the letter where he threatened that his is coming with his gang with their sophisticated weekend to wreck havoc.
According to Tribune Newspaper, the suspect has regretted his actions. He confessed that he wanted to implicate his colleague in order to stop him from demanding for the N20,000 he (Olarinde) was owing him.
He said to Tribune Newspaper that he had to use his colleague phone number on the letter so that he would get arrested and detained.
