An unidentified young boy allegedly shot dead by the police in Ojoo Ibadan was carried to the Yinka Ayefele’s Radio Station, Fresh FM (105.7) yesterday.
It was a pathetic story of how the boy was shot dead.
One of his colleagues who were among the protesters said the police shot him one on his thighs and he was writhing in pains begging the policeman when was still alive. The narrator said the policeman came back and shot him the second time in the chest. And the boy died.
The emotional part of the story was that they could not trace the family of the boy and they had no money to deposit him in the mortuary.
The boy whose name was not known called on Governor Seyi Makinde to come to their aid by intervening in the crisis. He said six persons were reportedly killed by the police.
