Three suspected rapists who robbed a market woman of the sum of N30,000 and still gang-raped her to death have been arrested by men of the Edo State Police Command.
It was confirmed that the incident happened on the 19th of December, 2020, as the woman, whose name has not been known until this moment was accosted by the three men on Evbuosa Road, Obozogbe, located in Orhiomwon Local Government Area of Edo State, of which they collected the N30,000 she was having on her and after that, they dragged her inside the bush and they all took turns on her.
The vigilantes in the area where the incident happened said that, some persons who were working on their farm heard strange noise of the deceased woman shouting for help and when they got there, she has already been taken inside bush and when they got there, they found the woman, who was already in critical condition, but, they also found the shirt of a villager at the scene of which he was recognized and arrested by police.
It was the arrested suspect, Osa that was implicated by the shirt he forgot at the crime scene that confessed on how they committed the crime around 7 a.m in the morning and also led them to arrest the other two members of the gang, Etim Zion and Samuel Jeremiah who are both from Akwa Ibom State but, residents of the area.
