A fuel tanker explosion along Eleme section of the East-West Road in Rivers State on Friday night set over 80 vehicles ablaze with four people reportedly burnt to aches.

 

The incident which was reported to have started around 9:15pm occurred adjacent to the Indorama Petrochemical Company located along the Akpojo-Onne axis of the East-West Road.

 

In a video now circulating on social media, a witness claims that the fire has been razing for over four hours and firefighters are yet to arrive at the scene.
