THE convoy of the All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo was reportedly attacked on Thursday, July 18, 2024 according to report at the disposal of SOJ WORLDWIDE.

 

According to a reliable source, the motorcade was attacked with sporadic gunshots while approaching Benin City from the Airport.

 

 

Senator Okpebholo narrowly escaped assassinated, he was said to have sustained injuries and admitted at a hospital but one of his security details was not that lucky, he was shot dead.

The Legislative Aide to APC candidate on Media and Communication, Godswill Inegbe issued a Press Statement available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, said the attackers are members of the Edo State Security Networks and thugs allegedly sponsored by Francis Inegbeniki.

This afternoon, the motorcade of Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC governorship candidate, was brutally attacked by members of Edo State Security Network and Edo state government sponsored thugs allegedly led by Francis Inegbeniki.

During the unprovoked brutal attack, three mobile policemen attached to the security detail of Senator Okpebholo were injured with bullets wounds, while one of the policemen has been declared dead!

 

 

Senator Monday Okpebholo is at this moment admitted in an undisclosed hospital in Benin receiving medical attention, and other members of his entourage who were victims of the brutal attack are in various hospitals in Benin City.” said Godswill Inegbe.
