JUST IN: Ex Kano State Governor, Shekarau dumps APC for NNPP

FORMER Governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau has formally dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to join Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso’s New Nigeria Peopes Party (NNPP).

In a brief tweet on his official Twitter Page, Hon Abdulmumun Jubril wrote,

“Game over! Welcome to NNPP, Sen Ibrahim Shekarau. BREAKING- Sen Ibrahim Shekarau joins NNPP. Details later…’

The political games between the incumbent Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje on one side and Kwankwaso, Jubrin and Shekarau has finally come to a dead end leaving Ganduje with his APC.

Later, the party tweeted photographs of the visit of NNPP leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso, to Shekarau’s home.

“His Excellency Engr Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso paid a congratulatory visit today to former Gov (Sen) Ibrahim Shekarau after he decamped to NNPP,” the party posted.

Shekarau represents Kano Central in the Senate.
