JUST IN: Fire Outbreak In Ooni Of Ife Palace

There was fire outbreak in One of the buildings in the Palace of Ooni of Ife, HRH Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi on Wednesday afternoon.

A building inside the Ile Oodua’s Palace of Ooni of Ife was on Wednesday gutted by fire, causing panic in the ancient city.

A source in the palace confirmed the incident but said, “It is not major, people are only scared because the entrance to the palace was locked.”

Another source in the palace told The Nation the fire is yet to be put out.

Contacted Administrative Officer of Osun State Fire Service, Fatai Aremu, confirmed the incident, saying his men are on ground to put off the fire.
