The Osun State Police Command on Tuesday paraded some hardened suspected armed robbers and cultists terrorising Osun State killing and maiming innocent residents.

In a Press Release by the Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode psc. made available to SOJ WORLDWIDE ONLINE NEWS http://(www.sojworldnews.com, the CP said,

“The serial killer suspects had been linked to various armed robberies, cultism and killings within Osogbo and the environs. The suspects confessed to the crimes and led Police crack detectives to their Armoury in a Banana plantation at Oke Baale area of the State and recovered the above exhibits.”

“Some of the criminals arrested have been involved in raiding and stealing money from the POS Operators, market women and members of the public.”

SUSPECTS:- 1. TOPE GBENGA aka JEMBE ‘M’ AGED 21YRS
2. OLAIDE ADELU aka OKIKI ‘M’ AGED 22 YRS
3. AROWOLO YUSUFS ‘M’ AGED 22 YRS
4. OPEYEMI OBANIWA ‘M’ AGED 23 YR aka OMOJO IBO.

EXHIBITS:- 1. THREE CUT TO SIZE SINGLE BARREL GUNS AND SOME CARTRIDGES.
On 26/6/2021 at about 1640hrs, the intelligence led Policing strategies put in place yielded another success as the dreaded and notorious serial killer, one Tope Gbenga popularly known as JEMBE and his cohorts were arrested.

The dare devil serial killer JEMBE was arrested along with his gangs named above by the Police operatives from Oja Oba Divisional headquarters in collaboration with the local security outfits.

The serial killer suspects had been linked to various armed robberies, cultism and killings within Osogbo and the environs. The suspects confessed to the crimes and led Police crack detectives to their Armoury in a Banana plantation at Oke Baale area of the State and recovered the above exhibits.

Also, mop up operations was carried out at house of the kingpin of the gang, JEMBE and a locally fabricated barrel pistol gun was also recovered. This success was a follow up of the gang armourer one Omoboriowo Azisat ‘f’ aged 23 years arrested earlier on 12/6/2021 at Oke Abesu area, Osogbo while attempting to kill one Olugbode Joshua aka Ole. The suspects will be charged to court after the completion of investigation.

2. ARREST OF SUSPECT/RECOVERY OF STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
SUSPECTS:- 1. ADEJUMO MORUF OLALEKAN ‘M’ 48 YRS

EXHIBITS:- 1. SUZUKI MINI BUS

On 08/06/21 at about 08:30 am, the complainant reported at the Dugbe Divisional Police Headquarters that he employed the service of one Adejumo Moruf Olalekan of Oke-Baale, area, Osogbo to drive his unregistered Suzuki Mini Bus conveying to and from pupils of his Criterion Nursery and Primary School located at Kelebe area, Osogbo but on getting to his house in the early hours of 08/06/2021, he discovered that the said driver had disappeared with the vehicle. On receipt of the complaint, the police navigated its investigation tentacles to Ajah area of Lagos State and apprehended the suspect with the exhibit who had registered the vehicle in his own name and was using it for commercial purpose in Lagos State.

The suspect will be charged to court after the completion of investigation..

3. ARREST OF SUSPECT/RECOVERY OF STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
SUSPECTS:- 1. RAFIU OLANIYI ‘M’ 50 YRS
2. LAWAL WALE AKINLOYE ‘M’ 48 YRS
EXHIBITS:- 1. TOYOTA CAMRY.

On 18/10/2017 at about 0605 am, the complainant reported at the Dugbe Divisional Police Headquarters that his unregistered Toyota Camry big daddy was stolen by an unknown thief/thieves the Police immediately swung into action, arrested the two suspects and recovered said vehicle at Ibadan, Oyo State on the 9th June, 2021.

The suspects have been charged to court and remanded for prosecution.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of police assures members of the public of safety, adequate protection and also enjoined the general public to be wary of these youths with bags sling across their neck as so many dangerous things are contained therein.”
