Popular Gospel artist Lanre Teriba aka Atorise is presently in an unstable condition following injuries he sustained during an attack in Lagos at the weekend, by men suspected to be herdsmen.

According to an eye witness account, the incident happened on Saturday night at the Berger end of the Lagos/ Ibadan Expressway while he was returning from an engagement.

The Pageonline gathered that a group of unknown gunmen attacked the musician while returning from a wedding ceremony where he entertained guests.

Atorise is currently receiving treatment at undisclosed Lagos hospital.

He was said to have sustained serious injury in the head and neck.

Speaking with ThePage’s Tosin Faleye on his hospital bed, Atorise said that he is still alive is a miracle, informing that he was only revived to life after he was rushed to the hospital from the scene of the incident as he had earlier passed out as a result of the devastating effect of the deadly weapon unleashed on him by his attackers who actually left him lifeless until God took control.

Recall that the singer just released a song titled WHY THE KILLINGS, where he lamented the state of insecurity in the country.

In the song, Atorise campaigned against the unending cases of kidnapping and wanton killings especially by suspected Fulani herdsmen among other murderous gangs responsible for the various reported cases of killing in the country in the name of religion.

Editor’s Note: We thank God for saving the life of ATORISE.

As one of the VIP fans of SOJ WORLDWIDE ONLINE NEWS, we wish him a quick recovery from the wounds inflicted on him by the men of the underworld.
