JUST IN: Tanker explosion in Osun, many feared killed

There was a tanker explosion in Osun on Monday involving about seven vehicles including 18 passenger commercial bus were burnt.

Unspecified number of people were said to have died in the explosion that occurred at Igbelajewa Village, along the Ilesha-Akure Expressway of Osun State.

Spokesperson for Osun Command of Nigeria Police Force, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the accident, saying the number of the victims could not be ascertained yet.

The Osun State PPRO, Yemisi Opalola also confirmed the incident but could not confirm numbers of casualties as at the time of filing this report.
