News just reaching SOJ WORLDWIDE has confirmed that two major contestants to the position of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Muktar Aloyu Betara and Hon. Yusus Gagdi have agreed to step down for Hon. Tajudeen Abbas in the 10th Assembly.

In a Tweet available to SOJ WORLDWIDE from TINUBU/Shettima Page said they came to agreement after discussions with President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TINUBU.

“Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara and Hon. Yusuf Gagdi agreed to stepdown for Hon. Tajuddeen Abbas in the 10th Assembly speakership race after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.”
