Highlander Jeep was this Monday evening set ablaze by an angry mob for crushing a 13 year old JSS student whose name was not known to death.

An eyewitness who would not want his name mentioned said, the car was coming from Abere side to Olaiya but lost control in front of Ayegbaju International Market, Osogbo and killed a young boy who was sent an errand to buy pepper at the market. The car swerved off the road and killed the young boy at the entrance of the gate leading to the market. The pepper the boy carried was seen scattered at the entrance of the gate.
SOJ WORLDWIDE investigation revealed that there are two people with the driver of the car when the incident occurred.

The mob prevented the police from towing the vehicle to their station. In the ensued disagreement with the police, somebody brought a gallon of petrol and showered the car with petrol and set it ablaze.
The driver of the car and its occupants disappeared into the crowd to avoid being lynched.
The Osun State fire fighters were battling to put off the fire as at the time of filing this report.
A detachment of police were seen around probably searching for culprits who sets the car ablaze.
No arrest was made as at the time of filling this report.
