Juventus‘ CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirms that Dani Alves will leave the club this summer. The Brazilian is set to join Man City next season.
The Brazilian international joined the Serie A outfit on a free transfer following his release from Barcelona a year ago and proved why he’s still one of the best full-backs around with a series of consistent displays across all competitions in the season just gone.
However, despite signing a two-year deal with the Old Lady, Dani Alves appears all but set to seek a new challenge elsewhere following confirmation from the club’s chief that he’s been freed from his contract at the Juventus Stadium.
“It is not failure, motivation is important for a player,” Marotta told Tutto Juve.
“Dani Alves has made you want to try an alternative experience, we will make a consensual resolution, and we wish him every luck.
“Surely there is bitterness for what he said, but I confirm that there was no break.”
Alves has been strongly linked with a reunion with his ex-Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City this summer.
