KANO STATE ASSEMBLY: The political landscape in Nigeria is getting more interesting by minutes, this Monday morning; the Kano State Assembly impeached its Speaker, Hon. Abdullahi Yusuf Atta.

The new Speaker Alhaji Kabiru Alhassan Rurum has already been sworn in and commenced presiding over plenary.
About 27 lawmakers on Monday morning signed the impeachment notice which was served to the Speaker of Kano Assembly upon his arrival at the House.
The former Speaker OF State Assembly is being accused of incompetence, corruption, and failure to carry other members of the Assembly along.

The Major Leader of the House has also been impeached and replaced with Bappa Babba, while Kabiru Hassan is the new Deputy Majority Leader and Abdulrahaman Madari as the Chief Whip.
