Kidnappers abduct High Chief Lekan Balogun’s Twins in Ibadan

The dare devil kidnappers strike at the Akobo residence of Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Lekan Balogun on Thursday and abducted his five year old twins.

The details of the abduction of the twins, a boy and a girl are still unknown but it was gathered that the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N100m from the family.
The mother of the twins was said to be recovering at an undisclosed hospital as a result of the shock.

Public Relations Officer of the Oyo state Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed the incident, said that the command has launched an investigation into the matter.
He said: “We have launched a manhunt for the kidnappers. We will rescue the children.

“We received a report that two of the traditional ruler’s children were kidnapped in Akobo. The command is doing everything to rescue the children unhurt.
“We are aware of the incident. We hope to rescue the children as soon as possible,” Police Commissioner Abiodun Odude has ordered the Anti-kidnapping Squad to rescue the children.”
