The State of Osun Deputy Governor, Mr. Gboyega Alabi has described the incident of collapsed three story building at Ita Faaji area of Lagos State as a colossal tragedy.
In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Sunkanmi Ajiboye made available to SOJWORLD.COM, DG, Alabi said,
“Children settled for learning early in the morning only to get buried alive in the process of learning. It is quite unfortunate.”

Mr Alabi expressed his heartfelt condolence to the families and relations of those who lost their wards. He also wished the injured and still recuperating at the hospital quick recovery.
He commiserated with the Lagos State government and commended the responsive government agencies for their timely response to rescue the situation to minimize loss of lives.

Mr. Alabi urged people to be law abiding especially on environmental and building construction laws in order to prevent future occurrence.
