Loftus-Cheek, 22, has only had a cameo appearance against Huddersfield on the opening day of the season before being left out of Chelsea’s squad for the 3-2 win at home to Arsenal on Saturday.
The England international – who impressed on loan with Crystal Palace last season – demanded showdown talks with Sarri after the London derby but has been told to fight for his place in the starting XI.
He still has time to secure another loan move, and former Premier League striker Stan Collymore believes that is the best course of action.
“My advice to Ruben Loftus-Cheek at Chelsea is go,†Collymore wrote in the Daily Mirror. “Now.
“He was impressive for Crystal Palace and England last season and went to the World Cup.
“But now he can’t even get on Chelsea’s bench.â€

Loftus-Cheek was expected to break into the Chelsea team on a regular basis after his starring spell at Crystal Palace.
He contributed two goals and five assists in 25 appearances for the Eagles to force his way into England’s World Cup squad.
Gareth Southgate used Loftus-Cheek on four occasions in Russia as the Three Lions finished fourth, and he returned to pre-season training early to try and impress Sarri.
The addition of Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid and Ross Barkley’s impressive start to the campaign has restricted his time on the pitch.
And Collymore fears Loftus-Cheek will fail to fulfil his potential if he is stuck on the sidelines.

The ex-Liverpool hotshot said: “Chelsea have great training facilities, but he needs to go to an upwardly-mobile team and say, ‘I am going to be the man to take you on to the next level’.
“By doing that, he will grow, learn and develop into the sort of player Chelsea would buy for £50m, £60m, £70m in a few years’ time.
“That’s how ridiculous the situation is at clubs who only want off-the-peg players.
“He did everything last season to say, ‘Maurizio Sarri, give me a chance,’ but no. At the moment he is at the bottom of the pile.
“So get yourself out of Chelsea, Ruben. Go somewhere you can grow and learn.
“That will not happen listening to match reports while you are washing your car on a Saturday outside your palatial Cobham home.â€
Speaking after the Arsenal win, Sarri claimed Loftus-Cheek missed out due to his preference for additional wingers on the bench.
He said: “I prefer to have on the bench two wingers, and only one midfielder.
“So it depends on this.
“Not any other situation.
“I needed on the bench one goalkeeper, one full-back, one centre-back, maybe two midfielders and only one winger.
“But [in training on Friday] I preferred vice versa, two wingers and one midfielder.â€
Loftus-Cheek will be hoping to make the match-day squad when Chelsea travel to St James’ Park to face Newcastle on Sunday (4pm).
