FORMER Governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose was a Special Guest of Honour at a night before the inauguration of suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara in May 2023.
What Fayose said at the inauguration came to pass because Fubara refused to heed Fayose’s warnings.
President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 announced a State of Emergency in Rivers State suspending Governor Fubara, his Deputy and the State House of Assembly for six months.

I want to say to you sir, you came in with the hand of God, you are a miracle governor. Today you are Governor of Rivers State.
My brother, the day your eyes begin to see, you will miss road, close your eyes completely. May be if I have a godfather like Wike I won’t have problem. They oppressed me, they showed me pepper.
