OSUN State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke on Monday, November 25, 2024 honoured 75 indigenes of the State past and present who have excelled in their various fields of endeavours.
The event that took place at Adolak Event Centre witnessed ‘Who is Who’ who gathered to celebrate Governor Adeleke on his second anniversary as the Governor of Osun State.
In his remarks, the Governor said he was delighted to witness progress and development in every nook and cranny across the state within two years of his administration.
The governor said the second half of his tenure will witness more road kilometres of road constructions in all the 30 Local Government Areas.
He said people called to say what he has done in two years was more than what others did in four years, in view of his achievements he has been challenged to do more. He added that he welcomes new ideas for the development of the State.
MERIT AWARD
Governor Adeleke said he will àppoint Panel of Judge for 2025 Merit Award to make it more comprehensive and unique.
Among eminent personalities given Merit Award includes; the General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade, late Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Iyiola Oyewale Matanmi, Chief Bola Ige, former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and a host of others including public servants who were given cash awards of N500,000 for their outstanding performance.
