“Update on TIMOTHY ADEGOKE OLUDARE!!!
This is premised on my Personal Investigation into the matter earlier today in and around the site of the incidence and at the Police Headquarters in Osogbo.
This is on my honour.
The following issues becomes clear:
1. That the deceased arrived the Hilton hotel at about 6pm on Friday 12th November 2021 with a backpack containing his personal effects which included clothes, laptop, books and a phone in his hand. The last time he spoke with his wife as evident by phone record was at arrival at the Akure Airport.
2. That the deceased was received by the receptionist on duty by the name Sola who allotted room 305 of the hotel to the deceased after payment of 18,500 naira per night and paid for two nights which was to terminate by the noon of Sunday 14th November 2021.
3. That apart from the receptionist on duty, there was a supervisor on duty on that Friday whose name I did not get.
4. That by the second day being Saturday, another receptionist (Magdalene) took over duty who was a student of OAU awaiting call up for Youth Service and is Igbo who was duly briefed of the guest in room 305 and other guests in residence. She was on duty with Aderogba as the supervisor (called Manager in several reports). He is the Alfa in the viral reports and is called Alfa by the virtue of his religion, dressing and look and not necessarily a Muslim cleric as been circulated. ( He may as well be a ritualist but that remains a matter of investigation).
5. That there is a report that the throat of the deceased was sliced. (This is evident in an exclusive picture)
6. That on opening the room, the lifeless body of the deceased was found on the floor of the room in a knicker (boxer) and a singlet wrapped up in the blanket of the hotel room.
7. That the receptionist allegedly raised an alarm and was joined by the supervisor on duty, Aderogba (Alfa) who in turn reached out to the person in charge of the hotel being the son of the Chairman, Cheif Rahaman Adedoyin, His name is Rohim Adedoyin and he was said to have immediately dashed to the hotel to see what had happened.
8. That the Three of them CONNIVED (connivance is a fact) and agreed among themselves to dispose of the body of the deceased and there after wrapped the body up in the bed sheet and the duvet of the hotel room and under the darkness of the evening buried the deceased with his personal belongings recovered from the hotel in a shallow grave along the Ede road Axis of Ile Ife.
9. That the phone of the deceased was first traced to the hotel by the police and later to Ejigbo by private investigator and tracing. The Alfa in question is an indigene of Ejigbo and fled to the town after the evil has been perpetrated.
10. That there are two Hilton hotels in Ile Ife. One an Hilton Royal at Parakin area of the ancient town and the ‘crime’ was not committed at that site but the other one along Ibadan road around the old Diganga hotel in Ile Ife.
11. That the major suspect been the son of the Chairman is now at large and is being traced by the police to be arrested.
12. That Chief Rahaman Adedoyin was arrested as the Chairman of the hotel been an ACCOMPLICE (very culpable) of the crime as it is known that he was aware of the incident and didn’t make any effort to have it exposed or reported to the police until traced and arrested.
13. That records of the deceased by the hotel was DELIBERATELY torn and disposed off to cover up the incident.
14. That contrary to claims that Adedoyin has been released or given prefrencial treatment, he is in the custody of the police like every other Suspect in the matter at the Osun State Command.
15. That the body of the deceased was exhumed under the supervision of a Deputy Commissioner of police, DC SCID Kanayo Uzuegbu and pathologist from the Obafemi Awolowo University teaching hospital Ile Ife.
16. That the exhumed body of the deceased is still at the Obafemi Awolowo University teaching hospital been examined by pathologists while an autopsy report is been awaited.
17. That in the room of the deceased at the hotel, a pain killer was found as well as a bottle of water which remains objects of investigation.
18. That all staffs on duty on the two days of the incident were arrested as well as the Chairman of the hotel.
19. That Investigation is still ongoing as to the intentions of the perpetrators of the evil act given that by the rules guiding hospitality business and by the exposure of the Chairman, he should have known the right things to be done in such circumstances.
20. That I took it upon myself to ask questions as a journalist and a civil rights Activist and while it may be too early to sing the praise of the Nigerian Police Force Osun State Command going by the antecedent of the Nigerian Police in matters like this, it is also unfair to spin narratives devoid of facts and call for a diligent investigation into this matter by the police toward ensuring justice.
