New PDP Southwest Chairman, Arapaja reacts to his victory

Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Amb. Taofeek Arapaja has reacted to his victory as the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Southwest Region.

The congress was held at the WOCDIF Event Centre in Osogbo on Monday, April 12 2021.

Arapaja defeated his opponent, Hon Eddy Adefeso by a close margin to win the PDP Chairmanship of the Southwest.

In his reaction on his official Twitter Page, Arapaja called for genuine reconciliation between warring factions,

“The sole agenda is unification, we have to reconcile and go back to the old PDP winning days, it’s time to work, move and strategies.”

“I was moved by what the delegates did yesterday including former governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State.

I assure you that with this victory achieved I will work with all my opponent in ensuring that the PDP is repositioned to dominate the South West and the national.”
