President General, Yoruba World Congress, Prof. Banji Akintoye, Sunday Igboho and other prominent Yoruba sons and daughters gathered to fashion out the way forward for the Yorubas.
When it was the turn of Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho to address the gathering, he said,

“We are sleeping at home, on the road no rest of mind, what happened? We were not born here by mistake but we made mistake for chosing bad leaders, we are no longer interested in the entity called Nigeria.”

“The heads at the Tin-Can Island, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Seme Border are all Fulanis, we don’t want them there again. Now that our father, Prof Akintoye has spoken, we would hold another meeting, we would open our borders so that rice and other foodstuffs would be coming in with ease.”
“Enough is enough, all our borders closed by the Federal Government, we would go ahead to open all, we no longer have interest again.”

“I am speaking on behalf of all the Yorubas, we are ready for the worst from the federal government. Some are saying that the Yorubas cannot speak with one voice, they should try us to know if we are united or not.”
“All our monarchs are behind us, any king that knows he is not behind us should declare it on video.”

“All Yorubas, let us not fight against one another, it is time for us to be united.
