Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has again attacked President Muhammadu Buhari for what he perceives as weakness in the incumbent leader’s economic policies.
Reports has it that Obasanjo knocked President Buhari for choosing not to sign the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA).
Obasanjo sees this decision by Buhari as a sign of weakness and notes that presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar would sign the Agreement once he emerges as the next Nigerian president.
He fired the shot at Buhari all the way from Bali, Indonesia while speaking at the Babacar N’daiye Lecture by the Africa Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) on the sideline of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)/ World bank meeting.

He said: “We will have a president who will be able to sign the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement, not the one whose hands is too weak to signâ€
The former president was speaking on the importance of intra-Africa trade as a way of mitigating against trade tensions.

The Babacar Ndiaye lecture series seeks to honour Dr. Ndiaye, who was president of the African development bank from 1985 to 1995 and was credited with fostering the emergence of many young entertainers.
