Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on Thursday, denied a report making the rounds that the British government has tendered an apology over his detention by immigration officials.
The former Anambra governor was reportedly detained by immigration officials at Heathrow Airport in London over alleged impersonation.
A report, however, emerged on Wednesday that the British government has apologized to Obi over his treatment at the Airport.
But Obi, in a statement issued by Diran Onifade, Head, Media and Communications of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council debunked the report, saying they are not aware of such an apology.
