Olowu of Kuta and Chairman of Owu Council of Obas and Chiefs, Oba Hammed Adekunle Makama Oyelude has called for the centralization of the new Federal College of Education (FCE) within the centre of the three Local Government Areas that made up the Iwo Federal Constituency.

Oba Makama made the remarks on Monday while fielding questions from Insight Television in his palace.
“Siting of Federal College of Education calls for no controversy, the Federal Government has the prerogative power to site it where they ought to site it.”
“This institution is supposed to be sited in a place that will connect three Local Governments.”

Kabiyesi believes that the FCE will be sited in Osun West Senatorial District, to be precise in Iwo Federal Constituency.
On the youths who protested in Ila Orangun, he said it was premeditated and stage managed by some disgruntled elements.
“The protests was stage managed because Baba Akande will never support injustice.”

“There can only be a protest if the school is sited in Iwo and not in a central place that connects the entire Local Government Areas.”
In another development, Oba Makama praised the efforts of the State of Osun and the Federal Government for being proactive to curtail and curtain the spread of the dreaded CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19).
“The state government of Osun have been very proactive in terms of their planning”.
