Aspirants: The long awaited lifting of embargo on the activities before party primaries and subsequent elections as Osun State governor was lifted on Monday by the APC Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun.
The event was peaceful worthy of emulation by other political parties. Some of the APC supporters and their aspirants met without any rancour.
Hon Lasun was seen waving his hand at Hon. Salam Najeem at Aregbe area after the lifting of the ban. It is hoped that this tempo is sustained to the primaries and elections by all the political gladiators.

The governorship election comes up in September this year.
Lifting the ban today in Osogbo, the chairman of the Party in the State, Prince Adegboyega Famodun said that the aspirants were now free to make contact with the delegates in various Wards and local governments in the state.
According to the list released after the meeting with all the aspirants by the APC authorities, all the three Senatorial Zones have representations.
In all, twenty seven people were eyeing the governorship seat.
Twenty from the West, six from the Central and one from the East.
Aspirants from the West include the current House of Representatives member, Honourable Akintayo Gafar Amere, and Speaker State House of Assembly, Alhaji Najeem Salami.
Others include Engineer Adelere Oriolowo, the State Coordinator of RAMP in Osun, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Engineer Bisi Alamu, Engineer Mumini Olabamiji Rafiu and Alhaji Alao Olabisi Kamoru.
From the Central comes the current Chief of Staff, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives, Alhaji Lasun Yusuf and former Commissioner for Information, Oluomo Sunday Already.
