Speaking to Rave FM, Osogbo on Monday, Hon Lasun said the attack was targeted to kill him few hours after the governorship debate he participated in on Sunday night on Channels TV.
Lasun accused the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola supporters as the brain behind the attacks with evidence.
“At about 1.00am this morning, my house was attacked, the evidence was very prominent, my building was riddled with bullets. In the last three debates we have had I have never attacked anybody on how to govern Osun State.
Unfortunately, this one, to my surprise it lasted for about 20 minutes. We have evidence that supporters of Governor Oyetola actually did it.”

The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Oyetola, Ismail Omipidan said by the antecedence of his Principal, he couldn’t have done that because Lasun ambition to become Osun Governor is not a threat to his second term bidding.
“I doubt very much, the way he is painting the picture…Mr Governor, we all know him if we are to attack anybody, it probably would have been the PDP who are attacking our people and the fact that they have been attacking our people we have never made any attempt to go on reprisal.”
“So, why would anyone want to go after Lasun? Lasun is no threat to the ambition of Mr Governor and Mr Governor would never under any circumstance either remotely or otherwise attack any citizen of the state let alone Honourable Lasun Yusuff.” said Omipidan.
