If you ever watched Senator Ademola Adeleke during elections as he fought to become Abeere Secretariat temporary landlord and realize the lifetime dream of the Adeleke dynasty, you would notice that he openly professed his love for Osun State and made a commitment to the people to do everything necessary to develop the state and bring its citizens prosperity.

The sayings contain kind sentiments that are irreplaceable, but it became more obvious after the election that they had a purpose: to
help him win the election and realize the lifelong dream of the dynasty he represents. You will see why Senator Ademola Adeleke actually loved Osun State and her people as fiercely as a crooked wit or babied public officer when you take into account everything he accomplished in his six months in office, whether it be decisions or projects.

Just after taking office, Senator Ademola Adeleke dismissed recently hired teachers and healthcare professionals that his predecessor had hired to bolster the workforce in the educational and healthcare sectors. He started a water project by building a borehole in each ward which failed miserably in some parts of the state. When civil societies inquire about these failed initiatives, they are either intimidated or mistreated by administration personnel who were hired to humiliate or denigrate stakeholders who inquire about the state.

Selected schools and health facilities that he pledged to renovate are still in total disrepair, and there are no records that can be traced as of this writing. A lack of grit, transparency, and accountability characterize Senator Ademola Adeleke’s administration.

Senator Ademola’s actions in office have demonstrated that the governor lacks the managerial and administrative abilities to run the state.

Take away two of the 30 months’ worth of unpaid salaries he inherited, which he settled and promoted workers who have begun receiving pay that reflects their new levels.

Once you evaluate all he did during his six months in office, even the recycled myths his aides use to promote their administration, you will see why Senator Ademola Adeleke genuinely loved Osun State and her people as much as a corrupt wit or a baby public officer.

In spite of the fact that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has four ranking members who are well-known in each of the state’s three Senatorial Districts and plans to install a new member-elect as the Head of the 8th Assembly, a number of opinion leaders have expressed concern over the governor’s selection.

What specifically does the governor’s favorite, have that others don’t? Nothing. He lacks in-depth knowledge of or comprehension of the house’s legislative process. He lacks any academic credentials that can be independently confirmed.

A few days ago, there was unconfirmed rumor circulating that the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the United States of America was looking for the prospective Speaker of the 8th Assembly in connection with an alleged criminal case.

I believe this newbie still owes us some explanations, and the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke should request an investigation of the matter if it is interested in men of untarnished dignity and unquestionable integrity holding such sensitive positions. After all, there can never be fire without a spark.

Seun Egbedun’s origins as a lawmaker from the Osun Central Senatorial District have been cited as a reason why Senator Ademola Adeleke picked him. Osun Central is home to two out of every four ranking members with commanding profiles. One is a seasoned Attorney with many years of experience, while the other is a notable politician with verifiable credentials. The Ikirun-born knows more than just the law. He has experience as a majority leader, demonstrating his familiarity with legislative affairs.

Adeleke should consider another ranking member from Olorunda State Constituency with a comparably less impressive record if he comes out as weak or afraid to share the podium with a Speaker who is more academically accomplished and has an imposing profile.

According to other sources, the newbie, Seun Egbedun is preferred by Senator Ademola Adeleke since he is younger. They must have forgotten that a young architect from Akure’s famed Federal University of Technology, who serves as one of the 8th Assembly’s ranking members, is a native of the same area as the recently-departed Speaker of the House, who served only a single term in office.

The basic fact is that Senator Ademola Adeleke is unable to choose one of these ranking members over another. Political interest on the part of governors in whoever is in charge of the house is nothing new. They conceal themselves behind an effective working relationship between the legislative and executive branches.

They are nevertheless interested since they constantly wish to take the house home with them.

It’s not new, and as far as this nation is concerned, Senator Ademola Adeleke hasn’t broken any political or logical laws.

However, there are ranked PDP members that match all requirements, so why choose one of them to be the house’s leader?

It is easy. The issue is not one of loyalty. The dancing governor avoids his shadow at all costs. He doesn’t desire someone who is more intelligent and knowledgeable about legislative affairs. He wants someone who can be coerced into submission and regards the governor’s mansion as a temple or site of devotion.

The group that controls Senator Ademola Adeleke likewise desires a subservient speaker.

They are looking for someone who lacks any history in internal legislative processes or recognized academic credentials. Senator Ademola Adeleke wants a weak and unattractive man to be the speaker of the Osun assembly to make up for his deficiencies.

Senator Ademola Adeleke wants Seun Egbedun and other new members to hold leadership roles in the house for solely these reasons.

Unfortunately, there are no independent thinkers serving in the 8th Assembly. The majority of the members of the 8th Assembly are descended from ward-level godfathers who took various oaths before they were eligible to run for office.

Some of the members-elect have similar backgrounds to the Governor’s favorite. Why wouldn’t they favor a person who resembles their shadow?

I’m writing this for a future use. I hope that if someone were to be curious about why this administration was unable to keep its promises in the future, they would find this article reliable.

Since Adeleke is the Governor and Egbedun is the Speaker, I honestly doubt that Osun would enjoy growth and improvement during their terms in office. If Senator Ademola Adeleke is sincere about wanting to lead Osun to greater heights, I don’t believe he needs a puppet of such caliber in the assembly.
