UPDATE: Osun State Accountant General, Alaba Kolawole resigns

Accountant General:  The State of Osun Accountant General, Mr Alaba Kolawole has resigned his appointment from the state civil service with immediate effect.

The reason for his resignation was not immediately known but might not be unconnected with the wind of defections blowing across the state ahead of September 22, 2018 governorship election.

The Accountant General, who wrote to all the states’ banks notifying them that effective from Monday September 10th, he would cease to be the Accountant General of the state of Osun.

This letter is unusual and not known to the civil service rule, an indication that all is not well with the unusual governor that is known for unusually policies and everything associated with controversies.

Another reasons why he resigned according to Spear Gists; “may not be unconnected with the unusual disbursement of monies that Ogbeni would be asking the Accountant General to release for the election of his stooge”

“The governor had earlier on approved unusual extension of service for the Accountant General, whose last day in office was supposed to be July 31st, 2018.

“The Governor’s plan is to hold on to the Accountant General until he leaves office”.

Special Media Adviser to the Governor, Sola Fasure said Mr. Kolawole was already due for retirement.

Therefore, Alaba Kolawole leaving the system was to fulfill civil service retirement policy of Osun State.
