AS part of activities lined up to Commemorate International Anti-Corruption Day held globally on 9th of December, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) Osun State Office, has lined up some activities aimed at addressing the pervasive corruption in the society.
The lined up activities, which are also aimed at sensitising and fostering collective action against corruption for a better society would be preceded by a media parley on Friday, 8th of December, followed by a One-Day Anti-Corruption Walk and Panel Discussion on Monday, 11th of December.
The media parley would be held at the premises of ICPC Osun State office in Osogbo while the Anti-Corruption Walk and Panel Discussion, which is being organized in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex Ile-ife, would be held in Ile-ife.
The media parley will give the scorecard of ICPC’s initiatives and achievements, while the panel discussion, after the awareness walk, would be focused on the theme for this year’s Anti-Corruption Day “Uniting the World Against Corruption for Development, Peace and Security” in order to tackle corruption at its core and foster a culture of integrity and accountability.
Additionally, the Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner of ICPC Osun State Office, Mr. Demola Bakare fsi would be speaking as a Special Guest of Honour at the prestigious 2023 Annual Banker’s Dinner and Award Night to be held on Saturday, 9th December in Osogbo.
