The Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, OMPAN was on Tuesday inaugurated its first Executive Committee to run the affairs of the association for 12 months.

The meeting of the association was held at the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre, Osogbo on Thursday, Sepember 6, 2018.

The inauguration of the new Executives was championed by a seasoned journalist, Peter Jones Ailuorio who is also the Southwest Deputy National President of OMPAN.

Mr. Ailuorio, while inaugurating the new Excos reiterated the need for all practitioners for balanced reporting in their reportage.

“The beauty about reporting is that if there are two parties involved in a story you are investigating and writing, ensure you interview both sides before you publish.”  He added that, “..by doing so, justice is said to have been done.”

The highlight of the inauguration was the swearing-in of the executives who will run the affairs of the association for 12 months.

The Deputy National President, Mr. Ailuorio is about now inaugurating the EXCOs of the Ondo State Chapter of OMPAN to complete southwest exercise.
