OSUN residents woke up to see a viral video on Facebook with a woman popularly known as Ero Arike rolling on the floor saying she has been duped of N3,000,000. (Three Million Naira Only) by PDP leaders in a bid for her husband to represent his party for Chairmanship position in the forthcoming Local Government Area election in February 2025.

A reliable source told SOJ WORLDWIDE that Ero Arike’s husband ought to have been the Caretaker Chairman in the last dispensation but the position was given to someone else with a promise that after six months it will come to his turn but the PDP allegedly failed to fulfill their own part of the bargain after Arike has parted with over three million naira in the process.
“Please help me, my husband must not be denied of what belongs to him.” she cried rolling on the floor in the viral video.
In another development, a Chieftain of the party identified as Hon. Olalekan Olawole claimed he escaped death by the whiskers when some PDP thugs led by some leaders in Ife East Local Government Area of Osun State attacked him.
According to him, he was beaten blue and black by some PDP thugs for daring to run for the position of Chairman for Ife East Local Government.

He said he took refuge at the Police Station in the area. He looked rough with torn clothes, bruised face and agitated.
Addressing party members at Stakeholders meeting of the party on the forthcoming Local Government elections during the week, Chairman of the party, Hon Sunday Bisi noted that there will be no imposition of candidates adding the party will only release guidelines for each Local Government to go and elect candidates of their choice.
“Let me take this opportunity to tell you all that there will be no imposition of candidates.
We have issued guidelines for each Local Government to go and decide who their candidates will be.

“I can assure you that our resolve as a party is to give a level playing ground to every member of the party who is interested in being either Chairman or Councillor.
“Let me however advise you all that issues of our party should not be taken to your social media pages and henceforth we will begin to monitor and may sanction any party member who fails to comply”, he noted.
