The crack team of the Osun State Police Command under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Olokode paraded gang of armed robbers for murder and snatching of motorcycles popularly known as Okada in Osogbo and its environs.

The parade of the three-man gang identified as Ajibade Faruq (23), Olayemi Abiodun (22), Aworinde Wale (25) took place at the Osun State Police Command, Osogbo on Friday.
The suspected armed robbers attacked, snatched an Okada Motorcycle and killed the owner identified as Ojo Adeyeye along Osogbo Ring Road at the Fountain University area, Osogbo.
After snatching the motorcycle and killing of the rider, they sold it for N140,000.

“On the 19/11/2021 at about 0630hrs, two-man daredevil gang of armed robbers who specialized in robbing motorcyclists within Osogbo and its environs, dispossessed one Ojo Adeyeye ‘m’ of his Bajaj Motorcycle at Fountain University area, Osogbo and shot him dead.
Immediately the case was reported, a team from CP’s Prompt Response Unit (PRU) swung into action and tracked down the snatched motorcycle to Saki in Oyo State where the second receiver one Ajibade Faruq ‘m’ was arrested with the robbed motorcycle and claimed to have bought it from the first receiver one Akeem ‘m’ a.k.a Eye at the rate of one hundred and forty thousand naira only (N140,000) in Ibadan.
Further investigation led to the arrest of one of the principal suspects one Aworinde Wale ‘m’ who confessed to the alleged crime and one Olayemi Abiodun ‘m’ who bargained to have sold the gun used for the operation to the principal suspects at the sum of thirty thousand naira only (N30,000) and had once been involved in the case of stealing motorcycles and murder in 2019 while his gangs are still in prison.
The arrested principal suspect confessed that they sold the snatched motorcycle to the first receiver one Akeem a.k.a Eye at the sum of eighty thousand naira only in Ibadan, Oyo Statea having sold the said motorcycle, the second principal suspect who is at large one Idris gave the first principal suspect Ten thousand naira only (N10,000) from the proceed of the sold motorcycle and ran away with the remaining seventy thousand naira only (N70,000).
Meanwhile, investigation is in progress as effort is on for possible arrest of fleeing suspects. Suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.”
