Osun State Police Command arrested two suspected robbers and Cultists, Ismaila Raheem and Akintola Sangokunle who are terrorising Oke-Baale area of Oshogbo, Osun State capital.
Both of them went to the house of their victim raped her with a fabricated wood gun, robbed her of a handset worth N17,000 and also raped her.
When SOJ WORLDWIDE reporter interviewed the suspects, Ismaila said the lady was his girlfriend for sometime who has been collecting money from him.
He said, one day he demanded for s*x she refused saying that he doesn’t worth her status. That was why he had to teach her a lesson by taking his friend along to rape her.
The other accomplice, Akintola Sangokunle said truly he raped the lady along with his friend but now regretted his action saying it was the work of the devil. He said in Yoruba, “Looto Ni mo do, mo do sugbon e dari ji mi” (In all honesty, I fucked her but forgive me).
Police Statement reads;
“This is a syndicate of Armed Robbers and cult members terrorizing Oke-Baale area of Osogbo, Osun State, they were arrested on the 27th & 28th October, 2021 at Kajola area, Osogbo upon a report by the victim on the 27th October, 2021 that, some members of Eiye confraternity, led by one Ismaila Raheem ‘m’ a.k.a Agogo and three others attacked her house with a fabricated pistol, had unlawful carnal knowledge of her and robbed her of one Huawei Smartphone valued the sum of N17,000. Suspects will be charged to court for possible prosecution as soon as the investigation is completed.’
The Osun State Police Commissioner, CP Olawale Olokode who led the parade of the suspects said investigation is ongoing on the robbery that occurred at Iree Town few months ago.
The Command also paraded another man identified as Badmus Semiu Idowu who allegedly stole Transformer Cables conveying it in bags on top of his Motorcycle when he was arrested by the Stop-and-Search police on patrol in Osogbo.
“On 3rd November, 2021 at the wee hours, around Kobongbogboe area, Osogbo, the surveillance patrol team on township patrol sighted a Bajaj motorcycle carrying two big bags containing Transformer cables. The occupants on sighting the Police patrol team jumped down from the motorcycle and ran into the bush, but one Badmus Semiu Idowu was arrested. Suspect claimed he was hired to transport the stolen transformer cables by his friend. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect. The suspect will be charged to court at the completion of investigation.”
