The Osun State workers have embarked on their strike action in spite of the plea from the state government.
The junior staff category from level 1-7 whose salaries were paid in full till November have also been enforced to join the strike action by the labour leaders.
In an unsigned statement, the labour leaders said, “people should disregard/disrespect any utterance that level 1-7 should report at office. Anyone in this category that report to the office will definitely face music as NULGE EXCO will be on ground to effect the order.’’

The statement went further, “NO STAFF should go to office or performing any official work with politicians, which means no council manager, Head of Admin., nor Head of Finance should have any affairs with Executive Secretary during the period of strike & if anyone is caught, such will face the consequence. So people should report such to this platform
However, the statement went further that workers should not be unruly against the government, “people shouldn’t abuse any politicians or government for they’re still our boss. For we’ll still become friends when they listen to our yearnings.â€
