SOJ WORLDWIDE ONLINE NEWS published the bumper harvests of palliatives released by the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the state Civil servants to cushion the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy on May 29, 2023 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Governor, in fulfillment of his promise started the conversion of fuel to gas on public buses under the state government to reduce costs of transportation.
According to a release in his official Twitter Page available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, he wrote,
“We have commenced the conversion of state mass transit buses, including staff buses and public transport buses currently in circulation, to CNG to reduce the cost of transportation by charging rates that are commensurate with what obtained before subsidy removal.
The CNG project demonstrates the commitment of our Administration to a greener environment, and it ensures affordable means of transportation in the State, especially in the wake of the removal of subsidy on fuel by the Federal Government in May.”
