The Waziri Atiku Political Family and Associates (WAPFA), has revealed the implications of recent swapping of the 2023 Presidency by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to favour certain zone at the detriment of other best Presidential materials from another zone.
This was made known in a Press Release made available to SOJ WORLDWIDE from the National Coordinator of WAPFA, Deacon Elijah Afolabi on Friday.
Afolabi advised the PDP not to throw away their best Presidential material, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar under the guise of swapping of candidates. Doing so according to him would be “suicidal”.
“For the records the zoning arrangement of the party positions is very normal and does not translate to zoning of the Presidential Candidacy.
The PDP being desirous of winning the 2023 Presidential Election must ensure that our best material is fielded and the candidate must emerge from a transparent process that will not make any aspirant feel cheated or sidelined.
We are confident that Waziri Atiku Abubakar GCON is the best material of the PDP at this material time and the best candidate for the Presidency.
He is tested, trusted and prepared. He is a de-tribalised Nigerian and has all it takes to unite the Country and provide enabling environment for growth and economic development of Nigeria.
PDP will not make the mistake or throwing away its best opportunity to return to Power.
It would be suicidal to do otherwise. Those interpreting the party positions swapping as likely to affect the chances of our Principal are being whimsical.”
