The South-South zonal auditor of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Patrick Egbede has quit the party.
Egbede, who is from Cross River State, announced his resignation from the party in a letter to the National Vice Chairman of the party.
However, in the three-paragraph letter, he said:
“I wish to inform you of my decision to formally resign from the People’s Democratic Party.
“I had joined the party and remained with the party since inception in 1998.â€

Egbede attributed his action to some personal reasons.
However, he had in an earlier interview said he would work for the immediate past State Security Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade, Mr Jude Ngaji, who is in the National Assembly race.
Meanwhile, Ngaji, who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for Ogoja-Yala Federal Constituency, has announced Egbede as the Deputy Director General of his campaign organisation.
