There is pandemonium in Abule Egba area of Lagos as fire ravaging the locality following vandalisation of oil pipelines by some vandals.
Some residential and commercial houses were reportedly affected in the fire which began at about 3.30 am on Wednesday, December 19.
It was gathered that the vandals were reported responsible for explosion from the pipelines, which extended to Abule Egba Bus Stop.
Some witnesses to the incident said cars, houses including shops were still destroyed in the fire.
Also, resident in the area have called for response from relevant authorities as the fire is said to be spreading wide.

However, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA’s) response unit in an early morning tweet on Wednesday, December 19, said the explosion occurred due to bunkering activities in the area.
The fire was said to have been triggered from the bunkering activities contact with an ignitable source

An assistant superintendent of police serving beneath the Aideyan division has been hospitalized when he inhaled smoke whereas making an attempt to place out the fireplace.
The police officer had climbed a ladder to use fire extinguishers to prevent the fireplace from spreading however the thick smoke coming back from the building prevented him.
