The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) took over the Skye Bank Plc after it had successfully changed its name to Polaris Bank Limited with the injection of N786 billion by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) reported by SOJWORLD.COM on Friday, September 21, 2018.
POLARIS BANK:Â Millions of its customers are said to be suffering because most of them no longer have access to the cash in their accounts.
One of such victims is a retired veteran journalist, Shola Kudaisi who complained bitterly of predicament he suffered having his account in Polaris Bank.
He said his account with Polaris Bank was expected to be credited with his retirement benefits but alas! after several days his colleagues have been credited, the bank is yet to credit his account as at the time of filing this report.
He told SOJWORLD.COM that he went to the bank’s Head Office in Ibadan but “…the crowd at the Head Office was beyond control. I decided to visit its branch in Iwo, the State of Osun, I met the same brick-wall.”
As if that was not enough, he cannot access the money in his account, at least, to meet his immediate financial obligations.
He is crying for the intervention of the regulatory authority, CBN to come to their rescue urgently to avert another avoidable looming disaster.
The is what he wrote on his Facebook Page;

I can not be categorized among the rich.
However, by HIS Grace, am not poor by any standard, after all, all my needs are being met “according to HIS riches in glory.”
If not for GOD who surrounded me with good people and family members, POLARIS BANK, formerly known as Skye Bank, nearly made nonsense of my economic status of recent.
For three days running, av not eaten food that pleases me.Â
My cars broke down, I couldn’t take care of them.
POLARIS Bank pushed to the class of have nots.
Av been trying to access my account without any success.

Unfortunately, Federal government cleared some backlogs of Pensions arrears few days ago, it was the same Polaris Bank that the money was paid into, making me an economic orphan.
No reasonable explanation is forthcoming from the management of the Bank as for the reason for holding their customers in Ransome.
With this bad experience from the POLARIS Bank, I will now listen to the advice of many people, who warned against maintaining a single Bank Account.
Wife of my friend, Mummy Laide bailed me out this morning. Who is playing the Samaritan role this afternoon.
Meanwhile, appeals are being made to the authorities of the POLARIS BANK to tell us the customers, if our savings have gone with the wind, so that we will be looking elsewhere for survival.
Until then, POLARIS BANK remains the poorly managed financial Institution in the Country.
In the interim, Barrister Lukman Segun Ogunsetan be ready for action as am deciding whether to take the Bank to court for denying me access to my account.”
