While still waiting to see the Commissioner of Police at the reception, our reporter spotted the APC candidate contesting for the House Representatives in Obokun Oriade Federal Constituency, Pharmacy Siji OLAMIJU popularly known as AKOL waiting to see the Commissioner of Police.

He narrated his ordeal in the hands of thugs suspected to be agents of the incumbent Hon. Wole Oke, PDP candidate representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.

AKOL said he had already got the Police Permit to go for his last rally on Thursday but one Omotosho aka Oluomo loyal to Hon Wole Oke warned him that he should not come out but he took the warning with a pinch of salt.

After he had successfully ended his last rally he headed for home with his supporters numbering over 500.

Few minutes after their arrival at about 6.49 pm the thugs came with machetes, guns, and other dangerous weapons shooting sporadically at his supporters. They used bullets to shatter the windows of his living room with the plan of getting at him but he narrowly escaped assassination.

In another development, SOJWORLD.COM met a BBC Reporter who had just arrived from a hot spot in Ila-Oragun who told us how God saved them from the hands of the thugs from the ruling APC and the PDP who engaged in a superiority fight.

President Muhammadu Buhari had however warned anyone planning to disrupt or snatch ballot boxes to know that they are doing it at the risk of their own life.
As at the time of filling this report, the Osun State Police Command has restored peace into the area.
