FORMER Governorship Candidate of the BOOT Party in Osun State in the July 2022 governorship election, Prince (Dr) Adesoji Masilo Adeleke has congratulated popular international music star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido on the national honour of the “Officer of the Order of Niger (OON)” conferred on him by former President Muhammadu Buhari few days to the end of his tenure.

According to a Press Release by Masilo available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, he eulogized Davido as a pride to Osun State, Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

He said Davido’s type of music has conquered the world in spite of many challenges even after the death of his lovely son.

“Davido bounced back regaining his position among top names in Afro music to come on top with his fastest selling album, ‘TIMELESS’.

“His energy and strength of his display on stage has endeared him to the youths in his generation. He has carved a niche for himself in the music industry in addition to this is his using his personal resources to help the poor in the society. He is generous to a fault.”

“Davido was able to influence the support of the youths in Osun State to vote massively for his Uncle, Governor Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke, the incumbent Governor of Osun State. Without the support of Davido it would have been almost impossible for Ademola Adeleke to win the July 2022 governorship election.”
