Mental illness still carries a big stigma, and parents feel like they would be failures if they admitted their child’s mental illness. The terrible thing about it is that their shame makes it so much worse.

A young man on Facebook is not ashamed of his mentally ill father. He took a picture with him and posted it on his Facebook captioned; “Even though I know that he is not mentally stable but he still remains my father.”
People were touched by it and told him to take his father to a mental hospital.
“My great aunt was mentally unstable. She took her medication. We helped her clean up, she unfortunately passed away in 2017. My point is, get your dad to a psychiatrist and have his medicine monitored, he will be as good as normal.” @Terrygoldb
