These are the predicaments many parents are facing in the north without any intervention from neither the state nor the federal government.

Since the over 100 children were abducted the parents have sold their houses, cars, land to pay the terrorists who kidnapped the innocent children.
Is it a crime to be born in this part of the world? If one may ask.

These children have been in the bush since May 30, 2021 in spite of the hues and cries on the part of the parents for the government to assist all to no avail.
The parents have surrendered their children since there was nothing else to sell for their freedom.
Below is the update from the parents:
The Bandits asked for 50 million naira ransom and the community contributed 20 million naira and gave to bandits as the first installment. Later they sold everything sellable to raise the balance of the 30 million.
Even the Islamiyya school was not spared, 2/3 of the school area was also sold out to raise the money.
At last, 30 million naira was raised and the District Head, the parents, and the school met and delegated persons to deliver the balance of the 30 million naira.

The delegation took the money to the bandits in the bush, 2 hours passed by, 4 hours followed; No delegates no children.
6 hours later, the Bandits sent a message that the delegates that delivered the money is also now hostage, reason?
After counting the money, it was discovered that it was short of 2.4 million naira and for that shortage, they needed 8 bikes, completion of the money, and 6 million naira fine.

The parents met and decided there was nothing else to sell
way forward? The bandits can have the children forever while the parents leave their matter in the hands of God.
Tegina: never cried of being a forgotten community, they never claimed of being a highly marginalized society. They never voiced being hated.
