Sunday Igboho is a well known name in Yorubaland especially his state of origin, Oyo State but things seemed to have ‘fallen apart’ between him and the Fulanis in Ibarapa, Oyo State.

On Friday, January 15, 2021 he and his group went on a protest visit to Seriki Fulanis in Ibarapa, Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State over the death of Doctor Aborode and many others who were killed by unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.
He visited the Seriki Fulani after the indigenes and Obas made a distress call on him to come to their rescue when the government has failed them.
They narrated the untold pains inflicted on them by the herdsmen in the area.

Igboho was told no one dared visit the Seriki without being invited, on getting there his men came out with a pump action machine gun to kill him. He said he seized the two guns because he did not come for a fight but to warn them and to tell them to leave their land within seven days or else there will be troubles.
He said how can the Fulanis come to their fatherland to destroy them? He mentioned the numbers of the people that have been sent to their early grave. He said he would rather die than watch these impunity to continue.

According to him, his personal investigations revealed the Seriki Fulani was the leader of the kidnappers hence his reluctance to deal decisively against the gunmen known to him.
He added that the Fulanis were boasting and threatening them that there is nothing anyone can do to them, after all President Muhammadu Buhari is there. He is only one that can stop them.
