THE former Campaign Spokesman of President Bola Tinubu in the South East, Dr. Josef Onoh has described the reinstatement of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the Emir of Kano as a well thought-out corrigendum by the people of the ancient Northern Emirate.
Onoh said that Emir Sanusi is a worthy Nigerian Ambassador whose passion for the country has been unequal by any of his contemporaries, precisely in his reach across all sections of Nigeria and even in diaspora.
He noted that the reinstated Emir of Kano made sacrifices for the nation, has promoted the country in the wider globe and a worthy Ambassador of Nigeria who has contributed immensely to the growth of democracy in the country.

Onoh said he reverend the people of Kano state who found the obnoxious order against Sanusi as a mistake and nuisance but reversed it for the posterity of the country.
“I wish him many more successful and prosperous years on his renewed throne to continue his advancement of democracy in Nigeria.
I also commended the people of Kano State for their maturity in the reinstatement of Emir Sanusi while maintaining peace in the Emirate for the good of the state and Nigeria,” Onoh said.

It is unfortunate that our Governors have polarized and denigrated our traditional institutions.
What happened in Kano will happen in other states where governors are using their powers arbitrarily even when cases are pending in Courts.
The traditional institution should be respected and should be held in highest esteem for the preservation of our cultural heritage.
Politicians should leave our traditions to our traditionalists.
The Judiciary should exercise restraint and apply wisdom in giving Court Orders and Injunctions in a matter of national interest to avoid breakdown of law and order in the country.
It was the Judiciary that the antidemocratic forces used to truncate the fairest, freest and most peaceful election in 1993.
We must not be seen repeating same blunder while we expect peace and tranquility in our polity.
The Judiciary is the last hope of the deprived, the less privileged and the common man, it must not be seen to have distanced itself from what it is noted for for law and order to reign supreme in our dear Country.”
