“I was married for two years, but it was a nightmare! My husband was cruel. This guy will always remind me how he picked me up from the gutters and how wretched my family was, this was his daily anthem.

He cheated on me, with different women and wouldn’t even let me see my friends and family nor take up a job.

His mother said I was enjoying an waisting her son’s money, meanwhile she’s the one whom carried him in her womb & suffered to bring him up, so, she came to join us, She lived with us.

I tried so hard to please my mother in-law just to get her to like me all to no avail instead, she treated me badly. My husband will always side with his mom and never bothered to hear my own side of the story. And hit me, even when I’ve done nothing wrong.

They said I was the problem because we didn’t have kids. They called me a gold digger and referred to my family as ‘lowlifes.’ But I knew I deserved better! So I left and went back to my parents’ house.

I worked hard, did odd jobs, and saved money to go back to school. And then… something amazing happened! With my excellent results, I got a scholarship to study & work in the UK as a teacher after graduation.

Marriage is not everything. I always tell people. Look at where I’ve been! My life was hard. it’s been 6yrs gone. Take a look at me now.

Today, I’m working and based in UK living a comfortable life. I own houses back home, and I have a job I love.

My ex-husband and his family, who thought they were my gods, have been begging for my forgiveness for over a year now.

I’m so grateful to God for helping me through the tough times. My story shows that no matter how hard life gets, you can always make a change for the better! And I’m so grateful..“
