RIVERS: Governor Fubara At War With IGP Over LG Elections As State Of Emergency Looms (WATCH VIDEO PLUS DETAILS)

GOVERNOR of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara has declared ‘enough is enough’ stance in the state as he dared the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun over the Local Government elections scheduled to hold on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Fubara said he was alerted that Police Officers have taken over the Rivers State Premises of RSIEC at about 1.00am he said he met the Police trucks stationed to take over from the guards who were already there.

He said in a viral video on x.com available to SOJ WORLDWIDE that he doesn’t know the relationship between the IGP and the man who said he is powerful in the State, referring to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, Nyesome Wike

“The Court ruling did not say election must not hold? It said don’t give Voters Register, what are we doing with it?

Okay, Police don’t provide security, is it the same thing as blocking the election? I don’t know the relationship between the Inspector General of Police, IGP and one person who claimed he has so much power in this State, I don’t know the relationship because it’s beginning to go beyond normal professional relationship.

The government wrote a letter of the judgement I sent to him (IGP), and what he is acting on is what he called the judgement he got from the High Court. Even at that, the judgement in High Court, did it say election should be barred?

That Justice that gave that fraudulent judgement, did he say, no election? Rather, he technically said, “don’t provide, don’t provide.”

We don’t need your security, we would provide our own security, after all, it happened in Anambra.

Go away with your security but this election must hold, if you like, whatever you want to do, do it, the election must hold, results will be declared, people will be sworn-in, I say it here.

What kind of country is it? And when it comes to the issues of Rivers State, it becomes different.

You are not ashamed of yourself, you called yourself Inspector General of Police, enough is enough.

I would be here, in fact, if I go back if I hear anybody…I will come back, this is my property, you don’t have any power whatsoever to barr me from entering it.

Just try it, then that part of your history as a very wicked and fraudulent IGP will include include shooting Fubara.
